Next tighten the deceleration adjuster the cable that pulls the grip into the throttle closed position so that there is no slack when the throttle is held closed.
Measure the initial free play of your throttle.
Find your adjuster on your throttle cable or look by your carb or throttle body.
Finally take the bike off the lift and put it on its kickstand.
Adjust the decelerator cable first this one is typically set for no play when the throttle grip.
Next the locknut should be loosened.
Once the tension is correct snug the locknuts back on and throw the dust cover over the top.

With the throttle open all the way adjust the throttle cable closest to the bike all the way out.
As it is close to being all the way out keep adjusting it until the butterfly on the carburetor or intake manifold is completely level.
Tighten the deceleration locking nut.
Then adjust the accelerator cable to the right amount of play probably 2 3mm.
The cable adjuster can then be adjusted in or out so that the throttle grip has the correct amount of free play which is usually 2 3mm.
Now adjust the acceleration cable s adjuster until the desired amount of free play is present in the grip and tighten its locking nut.
Any dust covers protecting the cable adjuster should be removed first.
