No Dp Cable Dell Monitor U2415

I am using the dvi output with a dvi to dp active adapter cable.

If you use the hdmi port for 1920x1080 then the image will not scale correctly it will be stretched vertically and there is no way to correct this using the monitor or windows settings. When i start the monitor i get no dp cable. To enable mst refer to instruction on section connecting the monitor for dp multi stream transport mst function. I have tried swapping out the hdmi cable for another i have tried connecting the dp to usb 3 cable i ve tried installing the drivers etc.

Recently the monitor failed so i purchased a new dell u2415 monitor from amazon expecting it to work out of the box. Other monitors can do 1920x1200 through the hdmi port but not this one. Almost false advertising to call it a 1920x1200 monitor. 7 audio line out connect your speakers.
