There are three types of lung cancer. Non small cell lung cancer is the most common type of lung cancer. For example a white or pearl ribbon is used to represent lung cancer but turquoise is the color of an american lung association initiative. Some ribbon colors also represent specific non profit groups who advocate for a particular type of cancer.

May bladder cancer is the fourth most common cancer in men. It accounts for about 5 percent of all new cancer cases in the united states. November is lung cancer awareness month though other organizations such as the iaslc work year round to raise funds for lung cancer research. The american cancer society estimates that there are more lung cancer deaths each year than of colon breast and prostate cancers combined.

I guess it represents our breath or something. I am going to make up some clear ribbons but will more then likely be the peralized color and hand them out during the month of november on a little card that has some facts about lung cancer on it.
